Abstract of the accomplished photographic work

789 (2024 – Ongoing)
The 789 project stems from an invitation to an artist residency in the Cervia area, with the intention of gently touching upon the ambiguous and fascinating nature of a place that becomes ideal for exploring the subtle boundary between the visible and the invisible, between the real and the suspended, where silence and stillness become tools to capture the power of apparitions and visions, traces left by the human presence and the natural forces that shape the landscape.
In this context, the human being is not the protagonist in a conventional sense but instead appears as a discreet presence that leaves marks, traces, and memories in an ongoing dialogue with the surrounding environment. Its footprints are (in)visible but never invasive, as if they belong to a distant time, outside of the present.

Description of the project you intend to pursue through the Prize

Through the award, I intend to complete the ongoing project by investigating the peripheral area of Cervia, and once finished, create a publication in the form of a photographic book. I would like to make an artist’s book featuring a text by a local writer. Additionally, through the award, I hope to be able to create an installation in the form of a photographic exhibition in the Cervia area.
